Water Impurities are not the same everywhere. It also varies widely depending on the source. Water from a Reservoir normally is different from Ground Water which in turn is different from Water from Rivers, in terms of impurities. Especially Mineral Contents, expressed as Total Dissolved Solids or TDS in milligrams per litre, vary from place to place and source to source! TDS remaining same, mineral content can be very different, for example, TDS 100 mg/litre is considered potable water, while a large part of the TDS can be heavy metals and hence the water is unsafe for consumption!
